Swiss Cottage (1987 - 1989)
Architect:
T Austin Dunphy
Award Type:
Silver Restoration Medal
Location:
Tipperary
Award Year:
1987 - 1989
Category:
The Swiss Cottage is a physical embodiment of the 19th century appreciation of landscape and architecture and this is of national significance. This is a very substantial example of a Romantic Movement building, one of a very small number to survive, with sufficient material extant to allow restoration with minimal intervention.
